Claris Design Build has turned a client’s dream into reality with North American Motor Car located in Danbury, Connecticut. This project totals approximately 60,000 square feet and consists of two separate buildings. Both buildings were constructed using Pre-Engineered Butler Steel. This project detoured from the misconception that steel buildings can only be simple and boxy. North American Motor Car’s retro-modern design, which was created in-house by Claris architects, is truly unique. One aspect of the project that encompasses this style includes the curvature of the Kawneer glass window systems. The window designs are one of the first things you notice when approaching the entrance to North American Motor Car.
The first building includes a new 27,630 square foot two-story classic car restoration facility. Here, car bodies can be restored, have motors revitalized, obtain upholstery updates, or be transformed into something with amenities. The second floor of this first building holds additional office space and a meeting room, which overlooks the showroom and car carousel.
