Claris Design·Build is thrilled to announce significant progress on the construction of the new Mercedes-Benz dealership in Danbury, CT. Over the past few months, our team has worked diligently with Curry Automotive to push this cutting-edge automotive facility toward completion.

The dealership is set to be a premier destination for Mercedes-Benz customers in Danbury and the surrounding areas, and as we enter the final stages of construction, the vision of this state-of-the-art facility is becoming a reality.

With each new milestone, we are getting closer to the goal of delivering a dealership that not only aligns with the luxury and prestige of the Mercedes-Benz brand, but also sets a new standard for automotive facilities in the region.

The project’s momentum continues to build, reflecting Claris Design·Build’s commitment to excellence in design, construction, and project management.

Major Milestones and Recent Growth — See What We’ve Achieved!

Significant milestones have been achieved recently, bringing us closer to the final phase of construction. A key focus has been on completing all site work in preparation for the binder coat on the pavement. This critical step ensures the exterior grounds are ready for the final surfacing and marks substantial progress in the development of the dealership’s infrastructure.

The paving work will create a polished, professional look for the dealership and will be the finishing touch that complements the building’s sleek design.

Inside the facility, the progress has been equally impressive. To ensure that work could continue uninterrupted through the winter months, our team temporarily sealed off all building openings and installed heating systems. This proactive approach allowed us to maintain momentum despite the challenging weather, ensuring that every aspect of the project stayed on schedule.

Nick Mastracchio, the on-site superintendent for the Curry Automotive Mercedes-Benz dealership in Danbury, shared an update from the site:  "We've been really busy here. We've concentrated on completing all the site work in preparation for the binder coat of the pavement. The second-floor office space is coming along nicely…”

This major work on the second floor included the framing of essential spaces like conference rooms, employee break rooms, and various offices. These rooms are now taking shape and are on track to become fully functional workspaces.

In addition to the progress on the interior, our work on the parking deck has reached an important milestone.

“On the parking deck, we've fully epoxied the surface and are ready to start storing cars," Nick added.

This critical phase allows Curry Automotive to effectively manage its inventory, setting the stage for seamless operations once the dealership opens.

Striking Exterior Features Nearing Completion

The exterior of the building has also seen significant developments. One of the most visually impactful features of the dealership is the full-height structural curtain wall, which is now approximately 95% complete.

This architectural element is designed to flood the showroom with natural light, providing an open and modern aesthetic that aligns with the high standards of the Mercedes-Benz brand. The curtain wall will be a signature feature of the dealership, creating an inviting and luxurious space for customers to explore the latest Mercedes-Benz models.

With the curtain wall nearly finished, we are approaching the final stretch of exterior work. In the coming months, our team will turn its focus to finishing the last few details, ensuring that the building’s exterior reflects the same level of quality and sophistication that Mercedes-Benz customers expect.

Looking Ahead to the Final Phases

As we move forward, our primary focus has shifted to completing the interior including the installation of finishing materials and final detailing. Simultaneously, we are putting the finishing touches on the exterior, preparing the dealership for its fast-approaching official opening.

The next few months will be critical as we ensure every detail of the facility lives up to the high standards of both the Mercedes-Benz brand and Curry Automotive’s vision for an exceptional customer experience.

In the service shop, the focus will shift to completing the final touches on the floors, while in the showroom, we will be adding the finishing layers of paint and preparing the space for its grand opening.
